ABOUT KATIE Katie Roper is a grounded, heart-centered leader and coach who weaves emotional intelligence, earth-based ritual, and embodied play into her work with individuals and groups. With over 20 years of experience, she helps clients access emotional wisdom, move through stuck patterns, and lead with authenticity and purpose. Katie is a trained mediator, grief ritual facilitator, executive coach, play facilitator, song leader, and dedicated dancer. Her work is deeply informed by training in Nonviolent Communication (Marshall Rosenberg, Roxy Manning, Christine King), Somatic Therapy (Strozzi Institute), Radical Transformational Leadership (Dr. Monica Sharma), and Conscious Leadership (Jim Dethmer). Before dedicating herself fully to coaching, Katie worked as a documentary filmmaker, nonprofit director, and university educator, and founded a decade-long leadership program for young changemakers at UC Santa Cruz. Her diverse background informs her ability to hold space with empathy, clarity, and vision—guiding clients to embody their fullest, most integrated selves.
